May 1999 -- On March 20th, 65 Apollo and Sunseekers nudists were to be seen swanning around on the Swan on the good ship "Interceptor", all in club uniform on a perfect balmy night.

They were in fact seen by Wayne and Rosemary, who were plying their catering business for a party on another boat.  The customers there were most intrigued by what they could see of our crew, and apparently not at all offended.  Indeed, I hear the Interceptor's captain received several phone inquiries for bookings during the evening.  The photos I have seen show a happy, fun filled freedom loving crowd, enjoying themselves in perfect decorum, a good advert for the boat, and for our happy lifestyle. Thanks go again to all the committee members who made it possible, and particularly to Glenn and Cheryl, who did the bulk of the negotiating, planning and feeding. The latest committee meeting recognised this with their own vote of thanks. AND - we have starting planning the next cruise!

On Easter Monday Apollo moved to Warnbro beach for yet another beautiful day of fun in the sea and great company on the sand.  The flag was flying, Glenn & Cheryl had their cabana up and a group of 20 members enjoyed lazing, playing petanque (or avoiding the not-so-accurate shots of those that did!) or partaking of the free sausage sizzle provided by the "Friends of Warnbro Beach". 

And finally, hot off the press, on Saturday 10 April John & Julia held a spa party at their house in Craigie.  A good crowd of 30 members and friends enjoyed the spa, watching nudist videos and socialised.  Julia kindly provided nibbles and sweets, and John organised the delivery of pizza and Chinese food.  The Pizza man stayed outside but the Chinese guy came all the way in and didn't bat an eyelid.  Seems he used to be a member of a nudist club himself!

John also brought out some photos of the early days of Apollo and Sunseekers, and some brave souls tried to strain every muscle in their bodies playing Twister.  Our sincere thanks to John & Julia for a great night and giving the club a new party venue.
