FAQ Why Naturist?

We have listed some common questions and answers about Apollo and naturism.  If you still have any queries then please contact us.

Q.

Does Apollo hold swingers parties and can I expect to find a partner for sex at the club?

A. Don't waste your time.  We are a family naturist club.  We very quickly spot those whose motives are incompatible with naturist and family values.

Q.

I am male and single, or married and my wife is not interested in naturism.  Can I visit your club?

A.

If you wish to visit Apollo at our regular Swim meeting you must write, e-mail or telephone first.  If you are a club member elsewhere, have an INF card, or are an interstate or international visitor to Perth (please contact us before you travel) then you will probably be accepted for a visit.

If you live in WA we will send you some information and ask that you provide us with some personal details.  We may suggest that we meet you first to discuss your reasons for the visit.  If we are satisfied that you have a genuine interest in naturism and are of acceptable moral character, the Committee may approve your visit.

Q.

What naturist facilities are there in WA?

AA.

Facilities for nudists in WA include:

  •  Clubs with grounds like Sunseekers which is located "in the hills" 35 minutes from the city.
  •  Clubs without grounds which use council swimming pools or health & fitness centres as a meeting place (such as Apollo or Phoenix).
  •  Free beaches which remain a popular destination for many, particularly on hot weekends.  WA has several legal nude beaches and others that are well recognised as unofficial free beaches.  Check out the "Clothing Optional WA" web site for details.

Clothing optional resorts are run on a commercial basis and offer many facilities for the naturist tourist. Unfortunately, WA does not yet have any resorts, but elsewhere in Australia, and particularly overseas, a great variety of such venues exists.  Some of these are included on our "Links" page.

Q.

Where does Apollo have grounds?

A. Apollo does not have permanent grounds but instead holds a regular meeting at a Perth health & fitness centre, and conducts a variety of sporting and social events.

Q.

Who are Apollo's members?

A. Apollo's membership comes from people of all ages and walks of life.  We are a family oriented club and welcome all who are interested in the naturist lifestyle.

Q.

How can I become an active naturist?

A. There are many ways to get involved.  You could support a free beach group e.g. the Free Beach Association, become an Australian Nudist Federation Supporter or join one of WA's three naturist clubs, Apollo, Phoenix or Sunseekers.  More information on Australian naturism is available in the nationally distributed quarterly publications "The Australian Naturist", or "Australian Sun and Health".  These are available from most good newsagents or by subscription.
